About dr. Chantal van den Berg

Chantal van den Berg is a fellow of the Life-course Cluster.
Her research interest is sexual offending studied from a developmental life-course perspective. This is in line with her PhD research conducted at the NSCR and the VU University Amsterdam. In her dissertation: ‘From Boys to Men: Explaining Juvenile Sex Offenders’ Criminal Careers’, she studied the long term criminal careers of juvenile sex offenders and their transition into adulthood, in terms of labor market outcomes, romantic relationships and parenthood. She received her PhD in September 2015.
