Iris van Sintemaartensdijk completed the research master Social Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in August 2015 (with honours). During her master’s she was a research assistant at the NSCR for the Virtual Burglary Project from Jean-Louis van Gelder. Currently, she is working on this project as a junior researcher. The Virtual Burglary Project aims to study burglary via virtual reality and finding solutions on how to prevent these burglaries. At the moment, the research on this project is focused on guardianship and the unconscious deciding processes during the burglary, with (former) burglars and layman.
Iris is a member of the CRIME Lab & Technology Cluster.
