Route description

You will find the NSCR on the 3rd floor of the Initium building, on the campus of the VU University. Coming from the Buitenveldertselaan, you walk underneath the Initium. The entrance is immediately left around the corner. Diagonally opposite the reception you take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Turn left and follow the corridor until you reach the NSCR. See walking description.

By public transport

From Amsterdam Zuid railway station, take tram 51 or tram 5, direction Amstelveen. Get off at tram stop ‘De Boelelaan/VU’, diagonally opposite the Initium. In front of the main entrance of the VU, at De Boelelaan, tram 24 (from Amsterdam Centraal railway station) and regional buses 242 (from Amstelveen), 346 (from Haarlem), 341 (from Hoofddorp and Schiphol) and 348 (from Uithoorn) stop.
From Amsterdam Zuid railway station you can also walk to the NSCR in about 7 minutes. Leave the station in a westerly direction (this can be done by taking the exit at the very end of the platform), turn left onto Buitenveldertselaan and continue straight ahead. Just past the intersection De Boelelaan/Buitenveldertselaan you will find the Initium on your right.

By car and parking

By car from the A10 take exit S109, turn left towards Buitenveldert and follow the signs ‘VU’. On De Boelelaan you drive past the VU Medical Center. At the next traffic light you will see the main building of the VU University on your right. Turn right to the Buitenveldertselaan and the Initium is the second building on the right.
The nearest (paid) parking garage is Q-Park Mahler, near Amsterdam Zuid railway station. From there you can walk to the NSCR in 5 minutes.
